There’s no longer an excuse to not workout as new fitness app The Quirky Workout Generator allows you to select three household objects and creates exercise moves based on your selection. From doorways to the dining table, your lounge just became your own personal gym!
The team at home interiors specialist, Hillarys, created the online tool to help Britons workout at home with household items and is ideal for those who don’t want to join a gym or don’t lack time to exercise. The Quirky Workout Generator asks you to select a minimum of three items you’re likely to have lying around the home and will generate an easy and hard option for how to use the items to workout with. Routines include using the stairs for mountain climbers, a bag of rice as a mass for weighted lunges and using a dining room chair for tricep dips. Creative, right?
“For many, going to the gym is a daunting task,” said Tara Hall, spokesperson for Hillarys. “They may not be happy with their body and feel comfortable working out around others, or it may be that they simply don’t have the time or the money. The Quirky Workout Generator is ideal for these people who want to get some exercise into their daily routine, and even perfect for those who already workout but maybe don’t have chance to get into the gym on certain days.”
