If there’s one thing that we’ve learned from the COVID-19 breakout, is that random acts of kindness are more prevalent than ever.
We’ve seen the nation tune in for free daily PE classes with The Body Coach, beauty brands supplying free lip balms and products to those working on the front line and now, YouTube star Saffron Barker has just launched a new initiative that aims to raise money for NHS Charities Together.
Saffron said: “The YouTube world is such a great community – made up of so many talented individuals with a huge audience. I really wanted to find a way for us to come together and help to support our amazing NHS in this time-of-need.
“Our front-line workers are doing such an amazing job and as a group we can make positive change.”
The idea behind the fundraising movement is to encourage other YouTubers to donate their advertising income to the NHS Charities that are supporting NHS staff and volunteers who are caring for Coronavirus patients.
The donations would come from one video of the YouTube stars’ choice, which will be uploaded on ‘Super Saturday’ – 11th April 2020.
Saffron and other prominent YouTube talent will use the power of social media to encourage their followers and the public to watch their YouTube video on Super Saturday but most importantly, to watch the ads, to drive up the income for donation.
Donate to the cause for yourself here.
