TRAINER TIP Harry, a PT from No1 Fitness, says: “Try to work the entire body during your session rather than just one or two muscle groups at a time. This is the best way to boost your metabolism and will help you burn more fat afterwards, too. Add at least two big leg exercises into each workout, as this will have a hugely positive effect on reducing your fat percentage.”

THE LOW DOWN ON: LOW FAT FOODS For years I clung on to those two magic words: ‘low’ and ‘fat’. But, thankfully I have seen the light. Low-fat lulls people into a false sense of security because it sounds healthy. But to make these foods taste good, sugar is added, and you know how I feel about the toxic white stuff.
Studies have proven diet drinks are linked to weight gain, and empty calories make you heavier due to cephalic insulin release. My advice is to have a small amount of full-fat food when you fancy it, as it’ll fill you up faster. -
LUCKY NUMBER 7 Omega seven oil is often overlooked, but it can be found in sea buckthorn, which also contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, and C. The plant’s berries are high in omega seven, which helps prevent infections, improves sight and slows the ageing process.

DITCH IT: DEODORANT Yes it’s true, I don’t wear deodorant! I have found that the more you use something, the more your body seems to need it. I don’t tend to smell when I sweat, but there are other reasons why I steer clear. All antiperspirants contain aluminium and parabens; so, in my mind it’s better to be safe than sorry.
